On 18.08.05, between 2~3pm, a workshop on ICT Development in Bhutan was held in Center for Information Technology, Royal University and I delivered a lecture on “Emerging Technology on Robotics”. I highlighted the techniques that I have developed at UAP on face recognition, object detection, voice recognition, eye movement detection etc. I also highlighted on my future plan on multi-voice detection, recognition of thoughts through transducers etc.

I forecast a tremendous prospect for investment in Bhutan on ICT Sector especially in the software development.

Bangladesh government is going to arrange an international trade fair in Thimpu in March 2006 and the Bangladesh Ambassador expects that private universities of Bangladesh should attend the trade fair to display the projects and software developed by the students.

Update on ARYPS

Hi there everyone.

This is a quick update on the ARYPS.

At this stage, the emerging plan is to use the upcoming IYPS 2004 (www.iypf.org) to connect with Asian young professionals and their organisations, and through this, find a host body and some additional organisers to connect in with those already represented here.

So stay in touch and be amazing.

Also, if you are not already, join the e-mail list:

aryps2003-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

and also make sure you are on the IYPF's Asian regional e-mail list
