Description:
This project is consist of the rearing and eventual sale of pigs.The market for pig is still very inexhutible in cameroon.According to FAO,report of 1988, the world trend is toward the consumption of more white than red meet.Thus the potential for increased meat production from pigs in the develping world and cameroonin particular is enormous.
The production adopted will be intensive.Therefore,system of housing will be more sohisticated,adequate shelter,space,appropriate space and watering facilities, optimisation of output. Pigs raised are mostly high performance,exotic and or cross breeds. The project will be restricted to the fattening of boars to maketable age.
Background:
I lives in Middle Farms Bota a suburb of the town of Limbe in the South West Province of Cameroon.
Objectives:
Those who are going to benefit directly from this project, are mostly youths between the ages of 10 to 30 years.Youth of both sexes are going to be direct beneficiaries of this project.Most of the youths who are involve in this project,are from less privilge homes.Added to that, most of them are either unemployed or school dropped out.
The youths who sall directly benefit from this project, are more than two thousands in number and a great majority of them are members of VICYOMO.
About two hundred youth were involved in planning this project.
Milestones:
1)The project will create employment.
2)This project willalso reduced poverty drastically since it is going to generate income.
3)The meat pigs produce is particularly suitable for processind. Some of the products have longer life than fresh meat and can thus be distributed to a wider section of the population .
4)This project will also empower youths on self reliant skills.

Total: 970.107526
The project is economically viable since agriculture is a key sector of our economy.The project provide secondary effects which either stem from or induced by the project.The fall out from this project will thus be used to continue the project.
The project is cost effective, since very minimal cost of production is involveed.The bulk of the cost that was to come from feed, is greatly minimised by self formulated feed. After a year, the project maintains a permanent cost atvantage in the long run. Due to initial fix cost items.
Needs:
The major community need our project is addressing is poverty. Poverty,have eaten deep in to the nocks and crannies of our community. Poverty, has brought about untold consequencies in our community. As result of poverty, a great majority of youths have dropped out from school, some girls have equally given into prostitution just to make ends meet thus agravating the spread of HIV/AIDS.
This project will go a long way in addressing this need since it going to generate income for the youths.
