improving TIG site for local African youth September 3, 2007 - 02:14 PM
TakingITGlobal is just about to revamp (restructure)their entire website. Simultaneously, i had started to develop an extensive list of suggestions in regards to better adapting the site for youth from developing countries. As you might agree, the site, its functions and tools can seem very complicated for youth who don't have a very good basis in technology. This, added to the fact that local youth don't have a lot of connection time (lack of infrstructure, lack of $$$) and often don't understand how this site could benefit their lives and communities.
So, overall, we, at CLCWA, are noticing that it is hard to get local youth on the site and using it on their own so, we NEED your suggestions as of how to make it more accessible to them. What could be changed so that youth can, easy and fast, find what they want and benefit form it without having to spend days on the site (which will never happen)
This is for you and your fellow youth, please do post up ANY idea, no matter what it is, first thoughts are always the best!
