GENERAL SITUATION IN CENTRAL AFRICA, AS REMINDER AND RELEVENCY OF BUILDING THIS CENTER FOR TRAINING THE YOUTH OF SOUTH KIVU FOR PEACE.
As you know, DRC, Rwanda, Burundi,have been going through long period of wars that had no reason, according to me, a part from leadership and vision problems.
millions have left their countries, some of them are refugies and restablished in US, Canada, and many countries of the world. some are still in Tanzania, kenya, uganda, south africa...
and as you know post conflict period must be a very critical period because people have no ressources, hope, no sens of destiny...
a part from that, women have been raped, many of them have lost their husbands and sons, who enrolled in the army to defend the country and did not come back, others among them, when they were raped, contracted HIV, some produced kids without fathers, and so on,
Immagine, being a pastor in this kind of period and place, you have to find solutions to these questions:
"is God real?, why did all these things happen to us?, will I live again normally, why was I born congolese?Rwandese? Burundian?, why am I african in central africa? "
when I came back from Bible studies ( seychelles) I really felt that some thing has to be done, and not only with ourselves, but We can also invite other people from Overseas to help us exchange their experience with us.
As you know,David said in Psalms, that the word that comes from far away, is like a very cool water passing in our thraught, (emphasis added).
That is why am contacting as many people as possible so that this can be made a reality in Makobola.
what is true with us for now, we are a growing ministry, that cannot cover someone's transport from US/Europe to central africa, because this costs around: 2000 dollars US. round ticket.
while coming to Uvira,if you would like to visit before supporting us financially, you have to land in Bujumbura internation airport, then we can come and collect you from there.
accomodation ranges from 25 - 70 dollars US, food, 15 dollars US a day, but we can support this , only your air ticket may be difficult to us.
