Description:
Canada is dumping over 300 billion tonnes of sewage in oceans per year, most of which is untreated. If this continues, there may be no marine life left in 2050 and there could be a 50% reduction in ixygen levels.
Objectives:
To get a program running in canadian provinces to properly treat sewage before further using it by making three levels of treatment to be mandatory and setting national sewage standards so there are less harmfull effects when dumped into the ocean.
Milestones:
To make people aware of the issue, to pressure the government to affect change and treat sewage in a more effective way.
Needs:
People willing to help spread the word though websites, petitions etc. and to help pressure the government to affect change.
