The University of Liberia, the nation’s highest institution of learning has reopened its doors for the first semester of academic 2010/2011 with an increased enrolment, which is now posing serious seating challenges.
Due to this, students have been moving with their chairs from one class to another. This claimed the attention of the Student Union Government. With their timely intervention, five hundred plastic chairs have been provided by the School Administration to alleviate the seating hurdle.
In spite of this, there is still need for more chairs to be provided, something the University Administration has promised that they would do. It is highly anticipated that this promise becomes a reality soon to enhance a more conducive learning atmosphere for thousands of young people yearning for quality education.
Some of the students who spoke to this writer have expressed delight in returning to school.
They also expressed their excitment and enthusiam on the coming of Iduka to Liberia. This is firing their hopes of becoming part of this great movement in facilitating underprivileged students to acquire quality post secondary education in Liberia.
