Description:
There is a declining use of the Niue Language in the home, villages, and workplace and in meetings. We want to address this issue.
Objectives:
To develop young people’s appreciation of their cultural heritage and contribute to the preservation and strengthening of the Niuean Culture.
To promote respect for the Cultural Heritage of Niue through strengthening in Performing Arts, Crafts, Traditions and Language.
Needs:
Activities:
Evening classes, Posters competition, Speech Competition, Meetings to discuss Niuean Language – formally. This will be a good beginning in ensuring that the Niuean Language will permanently maintain its status as a living language.
