Description:
Oxfam's Newfoundland and Labrador Regional Steering Committee supports member and volunteer engagement in Oxfam Canada’s policy work and program activities. RSC members, who bring experience with communities of Oxfam members and local volunteer groups, help build coordination and communication within the Newfoundland and Labrador region.
The RSC meets regularly, usually by teleconference, to provide or facilitate consultation among the membership and the Board on a range of organizational issues. The NLRSC coordinates the annual Regional Assembly, oversees the chartering and development of Oxfam Canada member groups, facilitates preparation of resolutions to the Board, and every three years, appoints a Regional Election Committee (REC) to manage the electoral process for elections of regional voting delegates to the National Assembly and the RSC.
