OHDI OBJECTIVE
The “Youth For Africa (YFA) is a positive and assertive stance by the OFOK ALTanmia-NGO “Human Development” Special Initiative, in support of needy and deserving young people, from Africa countries who wish to complete their education in the information and communication technologies (ICTs) and related fields.
Background:
We are "Ofok ALTanmia" ("Development Horizons") , a recognized non-governmental, non-profit organization operating in Egypt, with our Head Office located in Zamalek, Cairo. Since 2005 we have been working in Human development, education, training and recruitment in the field of Information Technology, Management and vocational.
Ofok NGO has become one of the leading developmental organizations since its establishment in the field of Human Development and employment. Ofok NGO is specialized in the development of methods of research, training and development of modern phenomenon in the Africa and Arab region as characterized by professionalism, transparency and sophisticated new thinking and a lighthouse for free thinkers and decision makers.
Objectives:
to enable young people to contribute to the development of their communities, country and region using their achieved ICT knowledge and skills and support youth-led action projects on issues such as youth employment, education, etc.
APPLICANTS ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
The goal of the selection procedure is to identify talented young people who are unable to complete their studies in ICTs and related fields.
In this regard, the candidate must fulfill the following requirements:
• Coming from a Africa Region
• Be between 18 and 28 years of age
• Priority will be given to applicants who wish to continue their studies in their own country through the e learning way.
SCHOLARSHIP CONDITIONS
• Youth For Africa scholarship programme cover only the tuition fees (registration and online studies), up to a maximum of thirty eight thousand United States dollars (38,000 US$)1.
YFA SPONSORSHIP
The YFA programme is funded through sponsoring and voluntary contributions. The Digital Academy (Sun Microsystems Academy program and Cisco Networking Academy program) in cooperation with OFOK NGO is sponsors of the YFA this year.
