Description:
SCORA, the Standing Committee on Reproductive Health including AIDS, mainly focuses on topics related to HIV/AIDS, prevention and sexuality in a broad view. The two main projects carried out in SCORA are activities around World-AIDS-Day and prevention programs for high-school-students. SCORA aims to raise awareness on a variety of reproductive health issues amongst the public, to spread knowledge regarding HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STI's) and to decrease stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS. We are the representative members of SCORA in the Pan-American Medical Students' Associations (PAMSA) representing physicians-in-training throughout the Americas.
Objectives:
We are an organization of future doctors, which is not affiliated to any religion or political party. Through education we will strive to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections whilst challenging the widespread violation of reproductive rights and gender inequality, as well as encouraging a respect and understanding of sexuality as a whole.
