1. Poverty sucks, and supporting the end of poverty is cool.\r\n2. It\'s time to tell adults to stop ignoring as ignorant, lazy, and apathetic teenagers and stand up for something.
Background:
The End of Poverty (Sachs) inspired me.\r\nI read White Man\'s Burden (Easterly).\r\n\r\nI think as high school students, one of the best and easiest things we can do is simply raise awareness about broader issues that we care about.
Objectives:
Raise awareness about poverty and related themes such as:\r\nthe UN Millennium Development Goals\r\nthe Monterrey Consensus\r\n\r\netc. among teenagers
Needs:
Anyone enthusiastic or just curious. People to help out, spread the word.
