TARABA DIGITAL VILLAGE RESOURCE CENTER
The project is essentially designed to participate and lead Youth entities in implementation of National information strategies and Regional participation in information processes.
The Project is part of the Youth Led Entities in Taraba State Nigeria to respond to New information and Communication Technologies
Background:
The project was initiated with the Hope that it will create Youth participation and receive training in Taraba State
TAs backgroud information: the Project came into focus after Some Youth NGOs met and developed a Research driven initiative into the new ICTs concepts with the Hope that at the end of the day, the State capacity to Develop a virile and good digital network would have been achieved inb Jalingo, Taraba State Nigeria. We have moved from here to actualisation and soon many processess will follow.
Objectives:
Promote the Internet and ICTs access
Bridge the digital divide and global knowledge economy
Promote computer literacy among the Youth entities
Make computer access, learning and research available to Youth led entities
Advance concepts of Human and technological development using resource management in advance technologies

Human development needs and goals orientation that is lacking here
Lack of a fairly developed ICTs revolution and programmes
Lack of economic competitiveness on the knowledge economy

Internet access equipment @ $15,000
Installations of equipment @ $5,000
Staffing and management @ $10,000 for a two year start-off project
Site and project field procurement @ $5,000
