Status:

Timeline:
June 8 09 to September 30 09
Description:
The Strategic Leadership Partnership is a pilot networking project focused on creating a forum for youth leaders from all over the world can discuss issues related to youth development in their local communities, problem-solving approaches and best practices.
Background:
During my years as a youth leader and advocate, I became aware of a need for greater cooperation between various youth groups and organizations; these entities were often divided along political, sociological and other lines and as such the success one could achieve in any given project or program, always seemed limited in reach and application. \r\nIt is without doubt that some of the problems we encounter today in leadership have already been tackled by our colleagues in other regions and vice versa, I believe that there is no need for the same mistakes to be made over and over again and to this end The SLP will explore ways we can avoid this negative cycle.
Objectives:
The Main objectives of the project are:
1. To foster interaction and promote strategic partnerships amongst Youth Leaders worldwide.
2. To create a platform for global cooperation in youth affairs, community and sustainable development.
Needs:
10 - 15 leaders involved in community related youth work, youth policy development and/or Youth Advocacy and representation.
