Unfortunately Due to TIG restrictions I cannot give the full project description here as It is longer than 300 words but nevertheless I will try to give a synopsis of the SLP project. To this end, I have broken the posts down according to the table of contents below:

2. Brief History

For over 12 years I have been involved with various Non-governmental organisations and community based organisations. Most of my work has been centered around Youth and Community Development; Working in these fields helped me gain a deeper understanding of some of the pressing issues Youths and young adults face today. Issues such as Unemployment, Social injustice, HIV/AIDS, Human Trafficking amongst others, are very much prevalent today regardless of what part of the world you live.
After much research and being involved with TIG, I came to realize that the problems the youths and young adults in my community faced were not limited to just that community but rather most communities around the world faced the same problems albeit at different levels. This is where the concept of a strategic partnership came from.
I have a strong belief that youth leaders working together as a force can tackle any problem our peers and colleagues face, all we need is a forum to accomplish this and so in early 2009, I decided to start this project and bring it over to TIG.
