SPEAK Nigeria is an initiative of young Nigerians using media, art, culture and other forms of dialogue to express themselves and exchange ideas on various issues as informed and active Nigerian citizens in an open society. Actively cordinated by the Development Generation Africa International (DGAi) its objectives are captured in the acronym: BATA
* Building bridges between youth and stakeholders;
* Amplify voices of Nigerian youth through arts, competition and media
* Trigger a movement for change and development for the achievement of the MDGs.
* Application of ICTs for development and employment.
Background:
SPEAK Nigeria is a platform created to fill gaps in communication between youths and other stakeholders.
Nigerian youths are creative and energetic resources that must be cultivated. That is the platform that SPEAK Nigeria aims to create a place and open platform where Nigerian youth can speak, be listened and be heard in Nigeria and beyond.
