Description:
TIGvibe is merely a thought. A whisper. TIG has provided young people all across the globe with a method of communicating thoughts and ideas to others, while learning and participating in events, charities and scholarships in order to better their lives. TIG has provided a medium for written works and visual concepts to be shared over the internet for everyone to see and read, learn and also to comment and provide constructive criticism and feedback of all types. There is however, one media type that is not presented. Audio.
This is a world in which music remains the most distributed form of art. This, I believe is also the hardest form of communication to get across to the correct audience. TIG could end this, and allow people who use music as a form of creative communication to allow people all over the world to hear what they have to say in a way that inspires and moves the audience. Audio is a powerful form of relaying a message, and it is my belief and the belief of my peers that this could change the way people see each other, hear each other and visualize aspects of the creators lifestyle in general.
It would also be plausible to assume that professors and teachers, or literally anyone could post a verbal lecture, or spoken transcript of a course, workshop, or class. The abilities of a stand alone player and an integrated database system are endless. TIG is one of the most noisy and cluttered websites around today, but it is a quiet noise. TIGvibe could change that.
The uses for this project out number the able minded members of TIG. Everyone could find some use for it, and if they don
Objectives:
The benefits of this project are excessive, and on a very grand scale. I can honestly say that the benefits of this project greatly surpass the negatives in this field. We can, first of all, add another element of communication. Communication is essential to understanding, and understanding each other is what TIG is all about. Music ascends to another level in communication. Not all the time can written word be understood, but everyone understands the emotion in a human voice, the tribal beat of a drum, the chords of a guitar, and the keys of a piano.
1. Audio Expression
Finally musicians can share what they know, through their songs to people from nations that are in the dark about their music. I wouldnt mind listening to some Native or Egyptian music while sitting in my chair in Canada. TIGers are eager and willing to promote their culture, and music plays an important part of this.
2. Social Interaction and Learning
A member of TIG can find someone that plays the same instrument or plays a similar style of music, and can learn to advance their skill with communication and exchange of ideas. New tablature or techniques could be brought up, and maybe bands could promote concerts and local events that they will be playing. Charity concerts could be organized to raise money for various organizations and community projects. The list goes on and on. Unlimited possibility.
3. Self Promotion
TIGers that want to be recognized for their artistic achievements can submit their work and let it be accessed by anyone, but downloaded by none. This protects artists work and assures them that their material is not copied and re distributed. Since the door is open to listening, scouts for record labels could listen and contact artists from all over the globe as well. Unlimited opportunity.
Needs:
1. Manpower
We will need people with graphics skills, coding skills, and advertising experience.
2. Effort
We will need to motivate people to do this. Everyone involved should see the way this could affect musicians around the globe. They should struggle for this, and feel that they are providing a great service to TIGers everywhere.
3. Promotion and Publication
TIG will need to be able to spread the word that something new and exciting will be available to each and every user of TIG. Get the hype started.
