Description:
This is a project to solve the problem of Unemployment and education in Syria.
Background:
the language used in the society and education in schools and universities is Arabic. Even though the Syrian youth showed lot of interest in higher studies and joining colleges lately, the interest of learning foreign languages is still very low, which makes foreign languages’ illiteracy very high. This kind of illiteracy decreases the international job opportunities for Syrian youth and even local job opportunities in international firms.
Objectives:
1- Short-term objective which is to fight youth’s unemployment by doing the following for all participants of the project
Enhance their English language skills
Develop their presentation and communication skills in English.
Teach them the proper ways of writing CVs, application letters, memos, and reports in English.
Prepare them to run this project in different Syrian cities to assist other students.
2- Long term objective: to form a well supported, sponsored, and organized group that deals with youth issues, including unemployment, and is able to represent Syrian youth properly in national and international conferences.
