This project relates to WHO / Community Health Global Network's consultation with NGOs about collaboration and PHC, Sept 2008
Background:
There are successful examples of WHO / NGO collaboration, within the formal structures of WHO and informally, for example in the area of HIV control. Historically the NGO sector (in particular the World Council of Churches) was involved with WHO in the run up to Alma Ata (1978)
Objectives:
To reflect on issues raised at conference, so that participants' afterthoughts can be integrated into the ongoing development of WHO / NGO collaboration and the rejuvination of Primary Health Care.
