Description:
The main aim of this project is to conduct vocational training courses for the most vulnerable, and unskilled high school and university graduates. Weintend to design a poverty focussed programme which will be realised through short term vocational trainnig on the production of detegents, hotel catering and pasteries.
The envisaged task demands expertise, efforts and money and to achieve the intended objective,the following methods will be used.
* Identification of the targeted groups i.e unemployed secondary and high school graduates; unemployed, unskilled university graduates and the young primary school leavers with no secondary school previledges.
*Training will involve both thoeries and practical work. The theoritical aspect will cover areas such as sales techniques, organisational and leadership skills, fund raising and basic communication skills.
The practicals will involve the production of detegents like powder, tablet, and liquid soaps, hotel catering which involves the production of yoghurt,ice cream, fruits drinks while pasteries will involve the production of pies, donaughts, cakes etc.
Each target group will consist of 20 volunteers. The training course content will be tailored to stimulate an entrepreneurial spirit and a panel of credible judges wll credit the training at certificate level. The body will approve the training materials, do quality control on delivery of training. Certification qualification will be accredited at the end of each complete training session. A report detailing the exercise and impacts will serve as a basis of replicability.

Background:
Poverty is a worldwide phenomenone. The changing economic and socio-political environment in cameroon has caused poverty to manifest itself in various forms; unemployment of university and high school graduates, has created a new category of poor people. Inequity in regional development, gender and sex discrimination are all manifest of poverty in cameroon. Poverty is becoming emdemic in cameroon. it prevent people from going to school and while state institutions demomstrate various constrains to fighting poverty, its also true that the government is not an end to poverty but only a means.
We the youths believes at a given economic climate, people and the youths in particular are urged to try out their entrepreneurial skills by creating their own businesses so that in the success of their venture, they will become self employed. Being in controln of their own income, they will be satisfied in paying themselves and that through them, others may experience the same satisfaction when the also gain employment and the chain continues. Our intention in this project is to train between 60 and 100 youths to become self employed from the different communities that make up our province.

Objectives:
The project will enable the youths of community and beyond of ages between 17 and 29 years who are either school drop outs or unemployed and unskilled to be economically viable , focussed, self employed and reliant.
The project will also enable orphans and or vulnerable children like those from the streets, orphans of hiv/aids victims, unemploy primary, secondary and high school graduates to be responsible, self employed and financially viable to assist their families.

Milestones:
1)The project will enable the youths to become economically viable, focussed, self employed and self reliant.
2)This project will curb juvenile delinquency within the community by pulling the youths out of the hostile streets and give them specialised knowledge.
3)The projects will enable orphans of hiv/aids victims become economically viable.
4)The project will also enable these same orphans, hiv/aids victims, abadoned street children integrate their communities and become responsible citizens.

We believe that every youths has leadership qualities and that effective development leaders must appreciate the dignity, strengths, and potential of each youths, influence behaviour through norms, policies and laws; and manage resources to increase health and development benefits. As a result, our vocational training programmes is design to provide a high participatory learning environment for youths. Through appreciative and participatory activities, volunteers enhance their own capacities and learn to transfer the skills acquired to others.

Needs:
* For Catering workshop, the needs are yughurt, milk , sugar and fruits.
*For Pasteries workshop, the needs are eggs, nutmeg, butter, flour, groundnut oil for frying, fish and clourant.
*For Detegent/ Soap making workshop, the need are oil,caustic soda, silicate, colourant, perfumens, foaming agent and medicament.
