In 2008, a group of the SOS organization in Tirane initiate a project for advocating about children s rights. They began a study of the situation of the young that leave residential care and those who don't have any place to go after being a majors in age ( 17-18 years old ). This situation of this young people in those condition is really alarming. Thats why we SOS Kinderdorf International, with offices in Albania and in collaborating with the TAMAM ORGANIZATION initiate a lobbing term project for demanding explanation and protecting the life's of these unfortunate young. This project gone run for tree years, and have as many advocacy campaign for the children s right.
Background:
*The age of leaving the residetial care it is actually 15 or in the rear cases in the 17 years old. after this, these childrens live in the high school boarding.\\\\r\\\\n*197 young in the age of 18 years old live actually in bordings of high school.\\\\r\\\\n*Untill today 900 leaved those high school barding.\\\\r\\\\n*Those youngs that dont have unfortunatly biological care the 18 years old, they get a minimum of economical suport of 30E per month.\\\\r\\\\nThe youngs after care :\\\\r\\\\n* Have a por education \\\\r\\\\n* unable to take care of them selfs and find a place to live.\\\\r\\\\n* They are unable to find a job, in able to live and cover the monthly spending.\\\\r\\\\n* they are discriminated and stigmated of the society, for diferent motives.\\\\r\\\\n* A total absence of suport in theyr most delicate age.
Objectives:
* Same mision organization, collabortaing for the protecting of the childs after care rights. \\\\r\\\\n* Young Activities - with and for the the young.\\\\r\\\\n* Participation training and employment.\\\\r\\\\n* Media training ( having they right to diclaim before an audience they concern)\\\\r\\\\n* Organizing a Galleri exposition with painting of facilitie care young work. \\\\r\\\\n* Procesing than with the draft legislacion.
Milestones:
** round table discusion about the young after care proces and with the participation of them.\\\\r\\\\n&\\\\r\\\\n* The first Youth Forum with and for the for the young withought patern care, that it gone place in Novemeber - December, 2009.\\\\r\\\\n&\\\\r\\\\n* Advocasy campaign and mediatic one.
Needs:
Young people of the SOS COMUNITY, and vulnetar from TAMAM ORGANIZATION, and many other young people, are part of these project. If you want to contribute ne vulnetar way, to help these young and to be part of our activities that its gone take place i the future, join us than! \\\\r\\\\nDont wait the voice of us all can be heard more clearly and strong, in this way these young people can enjoy theyr rights like every othe young in the world.
