Good afternoon YCLers!
Just wanted to send some words of encouragement and support to get you through the busy weeks leading up to Christmas break.
I'm really happy to hear that you guys have connected to your Community Advisory Committees - it's a really wonderful thing to be working with the support of so many amazing community members.
Please contact me if you need any additional advice or resources and I will continue to pass on information through your Regional Coordinators.
You can use this project page to share information or blog to each other or post pictures...whatever you like - it's for you to use to your project's advantage.
You're all doing a fantastic thing for your communities and the youth in them that don't even know it yet! Keep up the incredible work and I'll write again soon!

Training 2 complete - the Community Development Intensive piece. So much work, so many things to consider, but so impossibly inspiring!
A great big thank you to John Miller for sticking it out with us through the 4 days, for rallying us when we needed it, for stretching our capabilities and probing our inner community developer minds.
So go my YCLers...change your communities and make the world a better place be.

Training #1 is officially complete and I'm proud to say we have a stellar team in place. It was a long and intense extended weekend together, but we made some amazing progress and really succeeded in carving out a clear direction going forward.
I'm absolutely in love with our two teams - you're all amazing - and I can't wait to see what happens at the end of all this exciting momentum.

Welcome to our new and exciting youth project! The Young Community Leaders project is underway in North Bay and Sudbury, with high hopes that this pilot project will be one that many more communities in Ontario will have an opportunity to be a part of in the future.
We here at ICA Canada and the Youth as Facilitative Leaders program are thrilled to be partnering with the local YMCAs in Sudbury & North Bay - a local connection that makes such a huge difference.
I'm also proud to announce that we have two amazing Regional Coordinators in place - Stephanie Chevrette in Sudbury and Brian Finner in North Bay. We welcome them to the team and know that they'll be wonderful contributors to our initiative.
For those youth who'd still like the chance to be involved in Phase I, please fill out an application online on our website before the October 1st deadline. Our first training session, Group Facilitation & Facilitated Planning, is taking place October 16 - 20.
