A meeting of the YES Bangladesh Country Network held on 19th December 2007. The meeting discussed the probability to convene a National Employment Forum in March 2008 in Dhaka.
A sub committee was also formed to draft the proposal of the forum.

WE NEED REFORMATION TOWARDS YOUTH EMPLOYMENT
National Federation of Youth Organisations in Bangladesh, YES Bangladesh Country Network, Bangladesh Association of Young Researchers (BAYR), Youth Forum on ICT Development, Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Bangladesh Association for Social Advancement (BASA), Relief International and School Online organized a Stand Up event demanding that young people need reformation towards youth employment held at Business Faculty to Raju Chattar of Dhaka University on 12 August at 3-00pm in observance of International Youth Day 2007.
A signature campaign was also held on ensuring youth participation in nation building and all the developmental fields during the day.
A workshop on Youth Employment, ICT Development and HIV/AIDS also organized to mark the day at 3-30 PM at the Business Faculty auditorium, Dhaka University.
Prof. S.M.A. Faiz, Vice Chancellor, Dhaka University innougurated the programs as the Chief Guest.
Mr. Akbar Uddin Ahmed, Director, Institute of Business Studies, Darul Ihsan University, Mr. Mostafa Kamal Majumder, Editor, Daily New Nation, and Mr. A.K.M. Sirajul Islam, Executive Director, BASA were present at the occasion as the special guests.
Mr. Masud Mannan, Acting President, National Federation of Youth Organisations in Bangladesh prisided over the workshop. Mr. Dulal Biswas, Secretary General, NFYOB Country Coordinator, YES Bangladesh Network, Mr. Sukur Salek, President, Dhakabashi, Mr. Biozid Jessore, Convener, Youth Forum for ICT Development and Mr. Nafiz Zaman Shuva spoke at the wortkshop.
Prof. S.M.A. Faiz congratulated the organizers of the workshop and other events to mark the day beffitingly and said, the young people can rid the country of corruption by combatting the deep rooted social crime through leading a sincere and honest life. He also pointed out the obstacles in the employment sectors.
Mr. Dulal Biswas expressed that the Youth force is an important and integral part of any nation. Their destiny is inevitably dependent on economic development of the nation. This force performs the main role in maintaining balance in social peace and discipline.
Mr. Biswas also mentioned that in addition to their ability to mobilise support, young people can provide unique perspectives that can contribute to solutions to the many problems that young people face. The inclusion of Youth Representatives in all aspects of the national development serves as recognition of the importance of including young people in decision-making processes.
Mr. Biswas demanded reformation in youth employment policy.

International Youth Day 2007 Minutes of 21 July meeting
A joint meeting to celebrate the International Youth Day 2007 in Bangladesh was held on 21st July 2007 at the auditorium of Hunger Free World at 2/8, Block F, Lalmatia at 5-00 PM.
Mr Dulal Biswas, Country Coordinator, YES Bangladesh chaired the meeting.
The agenda was flow up different function of day celebration. The final out comes of the meeting were as follows,
1. A round table discussion on Youth Employment will be held at 11th August, 07 organize by the YES Network of Bangladesh.
2. Signature Campaign, Stand Up event, Publication and special supplement in the Dailies, Seminar, movie show will be held at 12th August,07 organized by YES Bangladesh Network, Youth Forum for ICT Development, National Association of UNESCO Clubs in Bangladesh, Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS and Bangladesh Association of Young Researcher (BAYR).

Shahidul Islam, Research for Work Planning, Bodiuzzaman Tota, Bangladesh Manobadhikar Sangbadik Forum, Mr. Henry R Roy, Young Power in Social Action, Mr. Sukur Salek, President, Dhaka Bashi, Ms. Shamsun Nahar Aziz Lina, Shakkhor attended the meeting.
The next meeting will be at 25st July, 2007, 4pm at TSC (1st Floor), Dhaka University, Dhaka

Meeting Minutes
17 July 2007
A monthly meeting of YES Bangladesh Country Network was held on 17th July 2007 at the auditorium of Hunger Free World at 2/8, Block F, Lalmatia at 5-00 PM.
Mr Dulal Biswas, country coordinator, YES Bangladesh chaired the meeting.
The agenda was to organize the national consultation on youth employment on 12 Agust on the International youth day 2007 celebration.
Mr. Biswas also invites members to participate open discussion on celebrating International Youth Day 2007 jointly or seperately as convenient for them.
Mr Dulal Biswas, Mr. Shajahan Siraj, Mr.Biozid Jessorey, Mr. Ataur Rahman Miton, Mr. Shimul, Mr. Henry R Roy, Mr. Farzeen F Alom, Mr. Arifur Rahman, Mr. Ashaduzaman, Mr. Nafiz Zaman, Mr. Abul kalam Siddike, Mr. Faridul Islam, Mr.Bidhan Chandra Pal attended the meeting.
After a long discussion, most of the members proposed to celebrate the day in collaboration with other youth networks existing in Bangladesh (YFID, NAUCB and GYCA).
The following decisions were taken to organize the event befittingly:
1. Publish Special news letter
2. Invite the national news papers to publish special suplement on the International Youth Day
3. Campaign through Internet, Cons odium
4. Signature Campaign to do renovetion in favour of youth emplyment
5. Stand up for 10 minutes to promote youth employment
6. Workshop and Consultation
A Steering Committee was also formed including the following members: Mr. Masud Mannan, Mr. Dulal Biswas, Mr. GR Hiru, Mr. Ataur Rahman Miton, Mr. Sukur Salek, Ms. Shamsun Nahar Aziz Lina, Mr. A. Sarkar Babu, Mr. Shimul, Mr. Henry R Roy, Mr. Farzeen F Alom, Mr. Bidhan Chandra Pal, Mr. Shajahan Siraj, Mr.Biozid Jessorey, Mr. Nafiz Zaman. The Committee has the power to co-opt more members from the collaborating networks.
The meeting decides to hold its next meeting on 21st July, 2007 , 3pm at the auditorium of Hunger Free World at 2/8, Block F, Lalmatia. Tel: 8121280.
