Due to the incoming general elections, I would wish to announce my desire to relinguish the post of a country cordinator for the YES cAMAPIGN IN MALAWI. This is so due to pressure of work, which is adversely affecting the taking root of the camapign. I know of great young men and women, willing and whom we share a vision that can led the camapign to fulfil the concepot Malawi has bred. I look forward to the next ten years of activism which I would be able to identify and take part in developing the campaign at any position. I hope the network members will volunteer their services to thsi post. It has been a wonderful learning expirience. I shall miss the fun that goes with daily challenges of organising this camapign.

YES-Malawi network and the NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL OF MALAWI is pleased to announce the first session of the Youth Campaign in Malawi to be held at the Malawi Institute of Management from the 24th to the 25th of March 2003. From this session stakeholders meeting s will follow to finalise the official launch of the camapign in Malawi.

And as the new year progresses, we have been slow in most of our final response to nominations. All members are advised to contact the local secretariate at MBC immediately to be notified of the initial meeting scheduled for February 28 for the National Advisory team and the National Steering team, The main agenda is the preparation of the National Youth Employment conference rescheduled to April this year.

Happy New Year to all networkers and partrners. We have started getting response on the nominations. The Speaker Hon. Mpasu was the first, then Hon. Aleke Banda the national advisory team chair and Hon. Salim Bhagus and other sevn Parliamentarians. Dr. Bingu Wa Mutharika is also in the advisory team. He is the Deputy Central Bank Govorner. All partners are requetsde to confirm their participation by January 31, 2003. Hope this new year will propell us to go to greater heights. Cordinator
