YES Malawi wishes to invite all youth employment netwrok members to a special meeting tobe held at the National Youth Council in preparation of the national report for presentation in Mexico. We will also update the networkser on the progress made towards the mexican summit.

YES MALAWI through the Women Economic Empowerment Organisation is from today conduting a three-day orientation workshop for young female entreprenuers and prosepctive ones at the Malawi Entreprenuership Development Institute-MEDI. Brian Satha, YES Assistant National Coordinator, Jane Kopa, team leader for YES projects and the Executive Director of the National Youth Council are in attendance. A special mexican campaign report for YES Malawi will include the new trainign sponsered under the Renewable enregy project sourced through the YES Global Campaign.

MALAWI'S NEW PRESIDENT TALKS JOBS: Founding YES Advisory team member was on May 2004 elected new President for the Republic of Malawi. An economist with PHd Dr. Bingu wa Mutharika has promised to luanch a 3-MILLION dollars National Fund to support small scale entrepresies especially the Youth, Women and Small-scale businesses. YES Malawi nominated Dr. Mutharika in July 2002 and is proud that he ahs lived to the ideals of the Campaign by supporting the very reasons of the Global YES Campaign. As we congratulate His Excellency Dr. Mutharika for his victory, we wish to retaiarate that until the youth have better livelihoods through an established systematic youth empowerment programmes, Malawi will be the land for the youth. Congratulations to His Excellency and many thanks to the YES Patron, Former President Dr. Bakili Muluzi for the support he rendered during his tenure. We also take time to congratulate the young Parliamentarians elected to the August house and trust that the torch of the YES Campaogn will dominate the new House. God Bless Malawi.
