Colleagues,
I would like to thank you for allowing me to be part of the YES Mexico network. Since the Summit in Alexandria, I have started a small educational consulting firm in California which addresses the needs of students who aspire to attend institutions of higher education. In California we have many offices run by the US Small Business Administration (SBA), which help the entrepreneur of any age reach his/her business goals. A future goal of the company, Edge Advantage (also known as Edge Educational Services) is to assist young Mexican, Mexican-American, and "under-served" students studying in California to do well in their studies. Funding will come from the US Government ("No Child Left Behind" policy enacted by the Bush administration) and directly from the families who seek assistance.
