YES DRC is a not for profit youth-led organization that is part of the Global Youth Employment Summit (YES) Campaign, YES Inc. which is operational in 55 countries. The country chapters are called YES Networks and each network has significant degree of autonomy. Though, they have to report to and get guidance from the YES Inc. Headquarters at Cambridge College, MA, Boston, USA.

It has its registered office in the town of Bukavu, South Kivu province. The registration #: JUST.G.S.112/S-KV/2766/2009.  

YES DRC's mission statement is to help create the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders whose innovations and social enterprises address the major unmet needs of the DRC communities.

Its vision consists into the creation of better futures through business entrepreneurs, social entrepreneurship and community services.

The YES DRC network provides needed support to youth in the development sectors including  - Renewable energies, Information and Communication Technologies, Rural Development (Agriculture and Forestry business), Water and Sanitation, HIV/AIDS, Conflict resolution and peace building, Arts and Handicraft, Cultural Diversity and Vocational Centres.

YES DRC serves a specific target group made up of both urban and rural street children, child soldiers, refugee children and other vulnerable adult youth from homeless and poorest families (aged between 14 and 35).

YES DRC network came into being in 2008. The Congolese young individuals and youth-led organizations are full of ideas, willing to make a difference into their communities, and are able to give whatever they can to implement specific selfemployment projects for themselves and other members of their communities. They, however, lack leadership and entrepreneurship experiences and knowledge. To help achieve their goals, we have thought to develop a variety of short and long term educative and supportive programs to provide them with needed leadership and entrepreneurship development services, small micro credits and loans as start up capital, mentoring and tutoring services; and thus create an enabling environment where they will develop strategic networks, share ideas, experiences, best practices.
