We at Anwar Jannat Memorial Foundation(www.ajmfoundation.com) ,Lahore, Pakistan have singularly focussed on youth and have launched an innovative project, "Youth and Millennium Development Campaign – from marginalisation to mobilisation" wherein we aspire to make Pakistani youth active and vibrant, educated and enlightened members of global community. This project comprises of Millennium Development Youth Forum, Youth Leadership Initiative, Global Citizenship Programme, Active Citizenship & Volunteerism, and Research and Publication as its major components. The Millennium Development Youth Forum aims at mobilising young people and their energy to achieve MDGs and sensitise college/ university students about their responsibilities towards their local communities and global society as a whole. Similarly, Youth Leadership Initiative focuses on inculcating self confidence and positive thinking in youth and harnessing raw human capital through short leadership courses and related activities. On the other hand, through Global Citizenship Programme we are committed to help young people learn and internalise values of tolerance, co operation, and harmony and thus, enabling them to integrate themselves in the global society. We will also conduct on campus capacity building programmes through workshops and short on/ off campus intensive courses and motivational lectures.
