Description:
The Association for the European, Intercontinental and International Dialogue has the the overall objective of making Azores, a region in the midlle of the Atlantic Ocean, that results from the junction of the american, euroasian and african plaques and set the borders between USA and EU, a center for international dialogue on issues particularly important for the people and mainly youngsters of isolated regions and the part the may paly in the future of this globalized world.
Background:
Taking in consideration the advantages that the region has geographically ( between the Americas, Europe and Africa), we could make efforts to people from everywhere to meet and exchange ideas in a "half-a way" journey from whatever continent they would have to meet.
Objectives:
Bring together representatives of several youth organizations that work and develop projects for their regions and their development, being at local, national or international scale, the important is that the work involved takes into consideration the development of regions.
Milestones:
We intend to call all organization platform members to contact us and get involved in the first International Conference taking place in 2007 in Ponta Delgada, Azores and share different points of view in order to arrive on a consensus on the specific theme under the general theme: The role of the regionsWe plan to involve the students of International Politics and European Affairs of the University of Azores, as well as the Regional Governmental departments of European Affairs and External Cooperation and the cYouth, and the center of international relations studies of the university of azores in order to develop investigation and develop projects and works in the areas debated.
