The project will take place in two areas where there is water pollution in Baghdad; we choose 5 young people from each area, these young people will be from disadvantaged community; they will be orphans or females widows at young age; we will conduct a workshop for water borne diseases and their prevention for these young people, we plan to involve them in designing a brochure for raising awareness regarding this public health problem, we will ultimately print around 300 copies of this brochure to be distributed in those two areas with such problem.
Objectives:
- Epidemics of cholera and water borne diseases recently.rn- Effects of this on infants most importantly within families in addition to adults.rn- Motivation of young people with stressful living conditions; mostly orphans or widow females and responsible young women to feel empowered and useful by the society.rn- Empowering these young people; who are also beneficiaries also of the project to be part of the project management, planning and implementation to have more skills in this field in considering future work opportunities especially after war when there is lack of work opportunities and more field for civil society organizations and action.
