Blueprint is an initiative of the YES-Australia network, led by the International Young Professionals Foundation in collaboration with Youth 2 Youth.
Blueprint is a workshop and case study project about and for enterprising young people around the world.
Blueprint was launched as part of Australian Global Youth Service Day 2003 celebrations on Saturday April 12.

Background:
The Blueprint Project was first realised in Australia in 2003 with the support of The Foundation for Young Australians and the National Innovation Awareness Strategy of the Australian Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources.
The objective of the National Innovation website - www.innovation.gov.au - is to raise awareness of the importance and benefits of innovation and entrepreneurship for all Australians. This website has been developed , and is maintained, for the National Innovation Council as part of the National Innovation Awareness Strategy by the Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources, Australian Government.
Objectives:
(i) Recognise and promote enterprising young people in local communities
(ii) Develop, catalyse and enhance enterprise skills and support networks amongst young people to assist them in turning ideas in to actions
(iii) Produce case studies of successful young social, environmental and business entrepreneurs
Milestones:
2003 - Development of idea in Australia, implementation by IYPF and Y2Y as part of YES-Australia activities
2003 - 12 August, International Youth Day - launch of Blueprint project booklet and CD-ROM and report on first implementation
2004 - IYPF and Y2Y agree to turn Blueprint in to a product that they can diffuse through IYPF's networks to assist young entrepreneur development where needed; sign Memorandum of Agreement to this end.
2005 - Sept Latin American Encounter on Youth Employment - IYPF presents Blueprint Project to YES stakeholders in the region and they decide to move forward on a major entrepreneurship development project based on Blueprint.
Needs:
IYPF and Youth 2 Youth are currently working with IYPF staff and external stakeholders to implement the Blueprint project in Latin America, Asia and Africa in 2006.
