Personally, i think children and teens act violent because of lack of ways to occupy themselves. Since it's no longer 'cool' to join clubs in school or help out the community, youth are left withing nothing better to do then sit infront of their computer or TV. School is probably a driving factor aswell, causing more stress then needed with all of the due dates and social issues.

Media, media, media = desensitization. We as a society only show our kids the worse, not much good that the world has to offer.
