End of April Basic ICTs training session... possible?

So, yeah, i know we can't plan or decide much until the curriculums are finally developped (which a draft should be ready this week) but i need to know your advice/thoughts on the issue.
According to the project's GANTT Activity Diagram, the first capacity building activity should take place at the end of the month. Thats in 3 weeks! and before that we need to acquire, revise, localize and get familiar with the curriculums. We also need to do the promotion, recruit participants, cofacilitators and get a national partner organization to host the venue.
At the speed things are going, i think we need to figure out what we are going to do.
Here are my suggestions:
-We work like we have never worked before and make it happen.
-We transform the training into a simple Open Forum or meeting with the new network partners or youth we are presently recruiting.
-We push out that first training by a week or two to make it really good and well planned out
or what???

I think it is possible for Liberia if the Curriculum is made available as quickly as possible. Latest should be the 13th or 14th of April. I really don't know much about the others but over here that are quite a few hic-cups. Though, the coordinator is working on it. But I think everybody needs to double up.

Thanks for the note !
Yeah well, having the curriculums ready by mid april is not going to happen, i also had my hopes up but, nope. So, we just need to concentrate on every other activities, and what could be a good alternative is for each partner to host a TIG open focum, to at least have some kind of youth participation and promotional public activity... Yes, things are not running as quick and smoothly in all 5 countries, everyone works at different speeds, although, as you said, we need to double-up our efforts, i am starting to realize that each team needs some time, more than i had 1st thought, to get settled in and to build some kind of 'ownership' towards this project.

HA! God, i wish i knew myself, but to tell you the truth, not for another couple of weeks, the draft has to be reviewed, adapted, reworked and translated. Although this 'time' issue, rest assure that it is worth the wait, i have looked at some pieces of the darft and it looks awesome!!!!
So, as i had suggested, let's just turn ourselves towards another public/promotion event like a TIG Open Forum where not only will it allows us to generally promote the project locally, it will also be an opportunity to invite possible national organizations, stakeholders, professionals etc... to join, share and discuss..along, of course, with youth participants.
The Open Fortum subject should, i think, be 'Youth and ICTs in West-Africa (or in a respective country)
Alright, thanks for your good question!
