TIG/CLCWA project has been taking to Abeokuta Ogun State. The project is partnering with local NGO's and being spearheaded by one of the project National Volunteer trainers; Mr. Leke Obadinmu.aofa_leke@email.com 08032222859. and the State Coordinator for Ogun State Mr. Bernard Olajide 07030057115.

This serves as a challenge for all of our members who wants this project to be implemented in their various communties. Please Leke and Bernard would love to share thier experiences with you if you need them.

The 9 day peer- led ICT capacity building workshop will start on the 6th of December 2007 at Girls Grammar school Abeokuta,Ogun State with 30 youths.

As we are approaching xmas season; we'll be glad to hear your feedback and plans for next year. Rememer, the project is targeting disavantaged youths, but not to locations where they will never have access to ICT tools in the future. Let this be your guiding principle when identifying target audience.

We'll be going to Edo State on the 12th of December to commence another 9 day ICT capacity building workshop. Please contact the state coordinator Mr. Purpose on 08038758819 if you'll love to volunteer during and after the training.

We have entered into series of discussion with youths and goverment agencies on area of partnership ranging from programmatic and ICT support and Advocacy. I will be willing to share this experience with any of you that will be interested.( We have entered into discussion with the Ministry of Youth to develop an ICT database for the ministry of youth development in Cross River State. This will provide a platform for monitoring of youth organisations and to know those who're actually on the ground. The will also love to support organisations who are actually running initiative in form of grants and others).

The winners of the October Award process have emerged. This announcement will be provided to you on subsequent email.

Please note that Kano will be hosting the next TIG National youth meeting in February, 2008. For those who are actually from that region, start your preparation in earnest. Your State Coordinator is Mohammed Adogi.

Let me know if you have any question or comment on how we can move forward.

CLCWA Nigeria is seroulsly in touch with the Cross River State ministry of youth Development and Orientation. We are working on long term collaboration that will pave way for the sustainability of this project in Cross River State. This might serve as a model for other states to replicate. Very soon, we are going to be incharge of their youth programs. That a good news. Cheers everyone.

Hello, Francis,

It is great we have made tremendious success and failed in some places. At half way to the project completion, I believe we have to tell ourselves the truth about where we are and what we are doing.

I have a report to give very soon on my observation and it is coming.

I would like to get your detailed report of your visits to these countries that you visit for our information and knowledge.

I believe this would help the project move forward.

Thanks.

Henry
