The future of CLCWA in Liberia...?

As i hope you know, we are now over the halfway point to this project's 12 months activity cycle. We have achieved a lot but lots more will come as this huge 'machine' gets its cruizing speed...which will probably end up being AFTER the initial funding period. So, my question is, how do you, members, envision this project in a few months, how do you think it can sustain and go on with creating its positive impact on local youth? What strategy? What alternative? Any ideas?

For the Liberia project I think the greatest problem is funding after April and the second greatest problem is reaching the entire country given the limited infrastructure and numerous barriers. Presently most of our members have free access to our internet service provided thay are able to come to the center or our office. Since we already have this center at the end of the project what we will really need funding for in order to continue the training is for the internet. of course other aspects of the project will definitely need funding too.
I think it is about time we start to approach INGOs, and multinational corporations on this issue.

This the new Journey - resently, the iplimenting organization, African Child Peace initiative Inc met with officials of the Education Ministry, of liberia to arrange for a Memorandom of understanding that will open corridors for support and partnerships.
- have began strategic decentrallization plan, that will identify prominent and ideal venues to be use for rural youth training and advoid the work load of transport young people to and fro and leaving them in a vagum, they will now learn and stay with practice what they have learn and also pass it on to other youths.
Working on possibilities for more support for the decentralization process.
Working possibilities to engage more partners to upgrade our communication facilities, such as the Internet and seek grant for vehicles.
The demand of youths wanting more knowledge in ICT and Entrepreneurship skills are getting hgh everyday and we hope to get the neccessary support we are anticipating.
The CLCWA E-Newsletter have been re-enforce to serve the wider communities.
Presently, a survey is been conducted in the rural areas, accross the fifteen counties. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The Poorest Man is not he that is without a Cent, Rather he that is without Knowledge"
