Asking people to join a project(India) if interested

A couple of weeks ago, I decided to see how much of waste as an indvidual I would generate. I was surprised. I could easily collect a whole bag of waste. That ranged from medicine bottles, to hardboard covers to paper, newspaper, broken scissors and lots of plastic that invariably came with packaging. I am not talking about food and degradable waste. In India, such waste is collected by people called ragpickers. I asked one boy and his mother that I saw nearby if he would agree to come once a week or once in two weeks, and I would hand the waste over to him. I made sure most of the stuff is clean. He agreed. Its working. I've talked to my neighbours about it. They want to get involved. I was wondering if anyone else would also like to join, and try. I've created a project called Clean Our Waste in TIG.
The good thing I feel is that we are all taking responsibility for waste that we create ourselves.
All you have to do is to ask one of the women ragpickers you see around your area to agree to come to your home each week and collect the waste. This might be difficult in cities,but I feel its worth a try. If interested, you can join the project. Thanks.
