The Children Rights Agenda (CRA) is a Nigerian Network of efforts to advance the rights and interest of children, non-profit, non-governmental and non-religious organization working for the promotion and protection of children and child’s right and development through the universal recognized instruments and institutions and in accordance to the General Assembly Special Session on children held 8-10 of May 2002.
Children Rights Agenda (CRA) is designed as a forum where all children have the inalienable rights to grow up, free of poverty and hunger, to receive a quality education, to be protected from infectious and preventable diseases including HIV/AIDS, to grow up in a clean and healthy environment.
Children Rights Agenda (CRA) would be responsible for organizing future activities/ programmes aimed at achieving the overall objectives of Children Agenda in Nigeria.
Objectives:
1. To provide an end to all forms of discrimination and exclusion against children since every girl and boy is born free and equal in dignity using multidimensional approaches with the support and participation of various key stakeholders.
2. To promote the value of literacy between every child and their communities.
Children Rights Agenda (CRA) is assuming the role to promote the value of literacy, provision of adequate education on children’s rights, awareness building and cultural development that affect children where they are found in the national environment.
