Description:
Critical Peers, a network of Youth led organizations, was formed as an outcome of the participation youth representatives at the XVI Toronto International AIDS Conference in August, 2006. Its aim is to pool the resources of the constituent organizations and channel same towards a concerted effort at grooming a balanced youth.
Background:
Our mission is to provide opportunities for young men and women to develop into responsible, healthy adults through enhancing their knowledge base especially on reproductive health issues while acquiring skills that will assist them in personal development.
Objectives:
1.Dissemination of information and knowledge on adolescent sexual and reproductive health including HIV/AIDS
2.Developing professional and leadership skills of youths through community service projects in a context of friendship and camaraderie.
3.Strengthening individual and organisational capacities of youths for advocacy, health promotion and development.
4.Promoting International understanding amongst youths through facilitation of international and cross-cultural events.
