To help UNESCO through its efforts for the 2008 International Year of languages, I have considered the idea of introducing a capacity-building e-project, which will be provided free to those selected.
This three-week project will ask the young people about what their cultures and languages mean to them and how the language supports their cultural heritage. Discussion on diversity and about the international year of languages, its aims and the endangered languages will also be conducted.
The participants will provide an insight into their cultures by submitting their stories, literature and other materials for discussion.I will be considering only 25 students for this project.
Participants are expected to remain committed and submit assignment on time. A candidate who delays his/her assignment twice will be liable to be excluded from the project.
If you will be busy with some other projects or travelling and have little access to the internet, please do not apply.
Selected participants will be notified by July 11 2008.
Applications from women, minorities and all castes are welcome.
