Description:
The project seeks to create a forum to unify and educate the youth on matters relating to their sexual reproductive health.The uniqueness of the project is that ,the centre will be run by the youth and youth as the main benefiaciaries.it wil be located at a pro-poor community unlike already existing interventions.
Objectives:
1.To improve upon youth empowerment and advocacy capabilities of the youth by involving them in the planning ,evaluation,implementation and oversight of the project
2.To create a forum to enable the youth to exchange ideas and informationin the era of globalisation.It wiil enable them to better inform in Adloescent Sexual and reproductive health issues. 3. The reproductive health needs of the youth will be adequately addressed because the youth will be trained as peer educators and councellors breaking operational and generational barriers.
4.The community involved will have a resource centre where the youth can go for research,recreational and other purpose
5.To change the behavioural needs of the youth on matters concerning Sexual Reproductive Health and Sexually transmitted Infections
6.To develop programmmes to harness their full potential and leadership skiills among the youth
Needs:
1.A project of this kind to be achieve ,there is the need for special skills training because the youth will act as administrators,collaborators,peer educators and councellors
2.The centre will require information technology equipment,resource material needed for research,administration and managing of the centre
3.Financial resource will be needed to support youth involment efforts such as transportation and organisational cost.
