This initiative is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion and managed by Youth Voices Research Group at the University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health. Our aim is to identify the needs of Canadian youth regarding Food Security and engage youths and young adults to improve any issues. As well, we hope to facilitate links and productivity between organizations presently involved with Canadian youth and food systems, thereby optimizing their performance. Through the creation of networks and forums, this project aims to promote Food Security, community development and establish links between Canadian youth. Together, we can create feasible solutions that will provide diverse communities with access to safe, affordable, nutritionally adequate and personally acceptable foods in manner which maintains human dignity.
