Description:
Youth participants (aged 18-25) from our linked communities around the world will descend on Jamaica for this year's Global Footsteps International Youth Conference.
There they will interact together in workshops, field study trips and events including public awareness-raising on environmental issues.
Post conference they will return to their respective communities and educate others.
Background:
Objectives:
To educate youth about the theme of 'Consumerism and its impact on the Environment'.
To create an on-going interactive partnership of youth tackling environmental issues in linked communities around the world.
Milestones:
Footstep 11 will be the next in a series of highly successful International Youth Conferences focusing on the environment. It will be organised by Global Footsteps in conjunction with Moneague College, Jamaica.
Budget:
Conference fee = US$200
Air Travel = US$700 - US$1000 (depending on departure point)
Needs:
We are currently recruiting environmentally-minded youth (aged 18-25) from any of our linked communities* to attend the conference in Jamaica.
