Description:
The GEO for Youth in Latin America and the Caribbean (GEO for Youth LAC) is a project initiated by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). So far, hundreds of youth from countries across the region have participated in the process.
Objectives:
To promote dialogue between the youth communities of the region and raise awareness especially on youth participation in the environment; to provide a forum through which it is possible to discuss environment issues, exchange ideas, and network with other youth; to provide youth with the opportunity to present their perspectives on environmental policies and government actions regarding the environment; to involve them in the production process of GEO for Youth publications.
