The project seeks to bring about awareness of green energy in order to restore the damage caused by war as well as to uplift the community,especially the rural folk, by educating them in matters of green energy and health matters.
Background:
The main focus is around preserving the environment in which they exist in addition to rejuvenating the forests around them. As a result of cleaner living and preserving the natural forest, it is hoped the result will be education, enrichment, up-liftment as well as a sense of ownership and accountability for better living conditions.
Objectives:
It is envisaged that the project will target old and non-latex producing rubber trees in vast plantations that were owned by the French, German and Belgian colonialists. The aim is to harvest the trees with a view to rehabilitating the ground before the replanting process takes place.
The target market of the wood chips would be local community with a view to constructing power stations to supply the surrounding villages with electricity and also creating water resources.
Milestones:
