Timeline: November 2 09 to November 2 09

Description:
It\'s an annual quandary. What do I get for the person who has everything? This year, don\'t turn to the standard knick-knack or bottle of bubble bath. Instead of getting grandma one more picture frame, why not pay for a child\'s education in her name? OR, let your loved ones know you’d prefer to receive a donation to be made in your name as a gift. \r\nCommunity to Community will mail a gift card to recipients notifying them of gifts purchased in their name. To top it off, donations are tax-deductible in Canada. \r\nBuy less : give more!

Background:
Since 2001, Salt Spring Islander Gary McNutt\r\nhas been traveling to Africa, meeting community\r\nleaders who are doing great work to fight AIDS and poverty. \r\nIn 2006, McNutt formed Community to Community with his\r\npartner Andrea Palframan. Community to Community is an\r\numbrella organization designed to link Canadian donors \r\nand charitable organizations with grassroots African groups who don’t have the time, connections, or resources to reach out to people in North America. Today, Community to Community works with North American charities, school groups, families and individuals to channel contributions directly to programs that need them in Africa.
