This is a response to Samantha's idea for a movie media section. Sorry for the delayed response.

I really like the idea of adding movies and/or movie reviews. Its a useful media especially with youth. There are some great documentaries relating to TIG issues.

You should talk to Liam about adding such a category. If TIG is unable to add the other category, maybe you can add something to an existing category (e.g. put trailers of movies that are available on youtube in the video category perhaps?).

Hey everyone,

I found a useful news database relating to MDG goals. I thought it may be useful to some, if you haven't come across it already.

Hope it helps.

Cheers,

Vow to eternity
Born to die, live to die
Strive ardently, oh man and burn. Purity comes from burning to be away from dross.
Gold must be passed through crucible in order to be refined.
Frightened! When death appears but it is natural where nothing will be more than only grief, sad misery if this is not accepted.
You celebrate birthday party for just succeeding the days on earth but to count the days to be nearer to death. Quite Natural, one has to leave everything, dear one, near one entirely all this earth where we come from unknown. One might get the sensation of reflection of their past deeds where at the count of last breath one may know that after life is at the heavens.
Probably the atomic matter of soul means no such scientific meaning but only the emotional sensation where elements of bad/sad or happiness in a life is produced. The sensation what we can sense in our body from part to deeper atoms/Nano pieces then we can find the Nature of such atomic matters by which human beings are affected.
while doing meditation to know the sensation, could feel the effects of sensations
Physical: Natural elements such as heat, air, earth, water
Mental: Atomic mind matters such as anger, jealousy, hatred, desire, knowledge etc.
We might sense such sensation from inside of our body and may know to characteristics of their nature and every molecule produces wave because it is created and destroyed . We neither create nor destroy the energy- Einstein. But we consume and observe it neutrally without reacting against it. To put it simply we don’t cultivate the behaviour culture of humans which is resulting the unhappiness and bad deeds/suffering.
The way to get a way of living is accept the Nature and Natural process. Because when those elements are created and destroyed it produces the waves what we may sense same to this our possessions, desires, jealousy, hatred, happiness , money is not lasting all time. This is merely a source of suffering. So the way to live a life is woithous such suffering elements is to do sensing/observaing nature Naturally without reacting it.
Yeah, the feelings of sorrow for mankind to do welfare is some extent quite common in humans and it is the religion which guides to those who knows and obeys the rule of Nature and certainly it leads the way of harmony whereas it punishes those who go against it. Sin is against nature or religion, because this cycle of wrongness is not in nature. It becomes unnatural so it breaks and doesn’t last long.
In particular, The time to say goodbye from this moment of life makes natural sense to all humans where they end their life. One may fly who die with a smile at last breath because of not having any gravity of sin to those who dies with sufferings. CHEERS......hahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Humans are never survived beyond this terrestrial world , what ever the desires make them ambitious to poke extrassssss......
There was the worst days and more worst in the future, uncertain that wont be too...
I observed the Anzac day of aussies down under southern only continent where they celebrates as the very day after the announcement of world war end -japans total soldier was surrendered..

It was spontaneous carnival in cities and towns where the restraints over the all people was turned down..it was social eruption that never be witnessed..... amid the din of sirens, bnells whistles ande shrill voice,,

It was tempest adfter the storm, a burst of relief from turmoil in which 33,826 australialn servicemen were killed and 180,684 were wounded, in which sadness and hardship prevailed....

THE AGE described it was as “ wistful,joyous,sad,esuberant,perpelexed,sorrowful,deliorus,wild.......
But this celebration undertones of violent emotion and confusion will lonfg be rememebered by those who witnessed it , it was like nothing ever swen before in Australian cities

Anyway yesterday we were out of the room at 9.am and saw the large people more the vetereans were seen in street wearing the badges ..with children..no buses public holidays......shit....krishna said,,,,,,why?..how can he go to his work...got tensed....so i cam along the road and found the rally with lot of white people called aussies watching from the road with joy and emotionally and clapping and waving the hands with Aust flag....

I saw lots of veterans of those time survivors (maybe) they were with old preserved land rovers...with their each group musicians...

Hey everyone!

Thank you to everyone who was able to participate in the virtual meeting this morning. For those of you who were unable to attend, or if you want to take a look back at the topics covered, I have typed up a brief summary of what we discussed.

We talked about successes and challenges during our meeting. From what was expressed, you have started to adjust to doing a lot of things online, and learning how to navigate the TIG website, and other online research tools.

One of the challenges faced by most of you was procrastination, slacking off and neglecting tasks. There was also a difficulty in focusing on a specific task expressed. It is more difficult when you don't have direct supervision. There were some suggestions made regarding how to overcome some of these challenges.

For example: you can make a calender and "slot" in times that you will work on a specific task. This way, you can visualize when you have to complete your tasks by and on which days you want to tackle them. This may also eliminate any stress or disorganization caused by having multiple things to do. Getting organized is the first step. Another suggestion was to make :sub goals" so that your end goal(s) are more manageable.

There are several ways to achieve your goals, but central to this is organization. Find some ways which are easy for you personally to organize yourself, and try and stick to some sort of a schedule to accomplish your tasks on time.

For those of you who are working on the issues of PEACE & CONFLICT and MEDIA & CULTURE, I will be your team leader. Therefore, if you have any questions, comments, problems, or need help with your projects, or you just want to discuss ideas, etc please feel free to email me (melissa@takingitglobal.org) and I will try my best to get back to you as soon as possible.

Good luck to everyone!

Melissa.
