Description:
This is a Performing Arts Dance workshop that portrays social issues through the mediums of dance, song, poetry, and speech. Social Themes: drug abus, racism, family conflict, domestic violence, african culture, song prayer, equality of man and woman, etc. Meet weekly and practice for 3hours.
Objectives:
To enroll atleast 10 members in the beginning of each school term. Teach dances and concepts in the 1st 6weeks, and have atleast 3 performances a term. Plan a community service project.
Needs:
Music to each piece, sound equipment, costums, refreshments for each practice, adult support, atleast 500yuan a term. Each member is asked to pay a 50yuan fee upon registering, scholarships are available.
