Sports and games are a part of almost all societies, and it can function as a bridge builder between conflicting groups. On Christmas Day in 1914, both German and allied soldiers put down their guns for a friendly football match between the trenches. How can sports unite or divide people? What are the benefits in individual versus team sports? Does sport influence our identity? How can sports be used as a tool to fight racism, prejudice and ignorance? Is sport just, and can games teach us to cooperate and respect rules? How can sport be used as a tool in reconciliation processes?
