Background:
Purpose: to address the impact that humans have on the environment, and how we can reduce that impact
Mission: to educate elementary students and members of the community about the impact that they have on the environment, and what they can do to reduce the impact that they have on the environment.
Vision: We hope to be able to spread awareness about the impact that humans have on the environment and make a positive change. We also hope to create a package that can be passed on to students in the future, and they can use our information and take it further.
Objectives:
1) Create a curriculum that best suites elementary students
2) Create a curriculum that can easily be altered to benefit high-school students.
3) Visit two elementary schools and educate students about the impact that they have on the environment.
4) Create a package that can be passed on to the upcoming SWBA students
5)Educate various people in the community so they can pass information on to other people to create more awareness
Milestones:
SMART goals:

-create a curriculum that can easily be altered to benefit high school students
-visit two elementary schools and educate students about the impact that they have on the environment
-create a package that can be passed on to future SWBA students
-educate various people in the community so they can pass information on to other people to create more awareness
Steps needed to achieve the goal:
-create presentations and documents that would benefit their global awareness
-include more depth to the presentation and elaborate on our main focus
-contact elementary teachers and ask if we can take an hour of their time talking to their students
-put everything that we have done and learned into a package that other students in the future can use
How will this be done?:
-research oh the human footprint and develop a curriculum
-add bigger words and include more content and description on the human footprint
-email teachers at elementary schools and set up a date and time that we can come and teach for an hour
-take everything that we have done and learned and put in into an organized binder
What help is needed?:
-downloaded information and teachers at the schools that we are visiting
-downloaded information and teachers at the schools that we are visiting
-we need the help of the teachers whos classes we would be teaching
-we need feedback from students and teachers which will help us know if we have done a good job
Success indicators:
-when we have a package that we can take to elementary schools, and they take something away from it
-when high school students get the message and want to try and make a difference
-when the students want to know more about what impact they have on the environment
-when we have the package completed and the students after want to take our idea and re-use it in the future
Budget:
Our project doesn\\\'t require fundraising because we don\\\'t need money to research the impact that humans have on the environment, the only thing we need is free time.
Needs:
I don\\\'t know of any needs at this point in time.
