Inter Secondary Schools Leadership Council (ISSL COUNCIL) is a youth group established to translate the Millennium Development Goals to Student and youth and also promote the voice of young people .
Background:
Inter Secondary schools Leadership Council is a social youth serving/ community based organization registered with the Ministry of Freetown City Council, Ministry of Social Welfare Gender and children’s affairs, Ministry of youth and sport.
ISSL Council was founded on Global Youth Service Day in April 2004 to translate the UN Millennium Development Goals to all student and youths. To connect thousands of young people, children and also promote Education and empower youth working together to create massive social change.
The organization and its members facilitate greater collaboration among organizations around critical issues; support youth participation in decision making, and provide support and recognition for positive youth actions to improve our world.
In this regards, the council has established a media discussion program called “Forum for Attitudinal and Behavioral change” wherein participant will highlight problems affecting school going children and youth in our various communities.

Objectives:
To increase the number of school visits in the country and school participation in the Inter-secondary schools Leadership council’s activities during the school year.
Create awareness about the role of student’s development and also their commitment to the Sierra Leone community.
Provide variety of educational enrichment experiences and opportunities to students
Student participation in core development programs and meaningfully and constructive discussions.
