Description:
"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove... but the world may be different because I was important when it came to taking stands..."
Karm Yuva is a youth outreach & support program in which we inform, sensitize, involve, and enrol youth as Karm Yuvas, soliciting every bit of support from them - in terms of their time, energy, volunteerism and nominal financial contribution. This is an everlasting project aimed at helping the Indian Confederation of NGOs and its constituent voluntary organizations in carrying out their activities. The members can choose to volunteer for any social and developmental cause from amongst 155 member NGOs of i-CONGO, which is the single-largest platform in the development sector, like CII, NASSCOM, FICCI & ASSOCHAM for their respective sectors.
In gratitude of their commitment toward the causes, we also bring to the Karm Yuva members a host of special benefits, privileges, scholarships, seminars/workshops, made-to-demand-courses, career support services, youth support services, placement assistance, events, gifts, discounts and much more. This innovative model of "doing good & also receiving good in return" has been possible with the help of a number of institutions, corporates, publications and organizations who understand their 'corporate social responsibility' and encourage more and more youth to come forward in support of various developmental causes.
Objectives:
To promote youth volunteerism and activism toward the causes of developmental concern. To have a stand-by huge youth pool of volunteers across the country who can come forward and contribute to any developmental cause/field of their choice. To sensitize the youth about their potential changemakers.
Needs:
Members and volunteers who can support the program in various ways. One single individual.. one single step.. a small contribution.. can change the tomorrow in a brighter and sunnier day for millions underprivileged whose lives Indian Confederation of NGOs is committed to change. One thought.. One resolution.. and one belief.. YES, I CAN BE THE CHANGE...
